Colonial Day

Hello, in fifth grade we have to this thing called Colonial Day. Where first everyone chooses one notable person from the Colonial Times and writes a short biography/report on them. Then on March 13th, this year at least, everyone comes to school then gets into "costumes" that are the type of clothes they wore in the 1600's-1700's. I think I'm going to do my report on Mercy Warren. I think it's going to be fun, Colonial Day, except the clothes. I will absolutely despise the clothes we have to wear. Especially the bonnet. I hate bonnets. :D Still! It's gonna be pretty cool!

I'm learning guitar!

I'm learning guitar! Yay! It's really fun! I got a steel string guitar on Monday, and it's SO cool! Instead of regular mahogany wood, it's cherry wood! So it looks like your stereo type wood. The strings are kinda thick at a certain part, but it's ok. They are sometimes hard to press down, so they create a muffled sound. My friend is ALSO learning guitar, so it's cool. I can play mostly the choruses of songs!

|Very Small dog (toy poodle, chihuahua, etc.) - 1/3 to 1 cup of food per day, weight of dog: up to 10 pounds

|Small Dog (mini poodle, scottish terrier, etc.) - 1 to 2 and 1/4 cups per day, weight of dog: 10-25 pounds

|Medium Dog (cocker spaniel, beagle, etc.) - 2 and 1/4 to 3 and 3/4 cups per day, weight of dog: 25-50 pounds

|Large Dog (collie, labrador, etc.) - 3 and 3/4 to 5 cups per day, weight of dog: 50-75 pounds

I looked it up online, at the UC Davis website, and they are biology, science, and math. You are supposed to do very well in those subjects, especially biology. And major in all of them! Davis has a great graduate school for veterinary medicine, and I'm not sure about undergraduate. They have a cool club too run by students about vet. medicine!
This is very cool to me, not sure about others! Sorry!

The story I'm writing!!!

I'm writing a story on my computer on Word, and it's really long!!! Like 50 pages! I'm very proud of it, so I might be boasting a little. ;D I wrote to Artemis Fowl Confidential and asked about websites about publishing books and getting literary agents, and they wrote back! I am so nervous! Today in class we took one of the biggest tests we will have to take all year! I studied a lot and think I'm going to get a good grade, but I am not sure! The essay part was the hardest! It made my fingers ache so much, I was cracking my knuckles. The test is the big: SEEDS OF CHANGE TEST. It was actually kind of fun, though some people might call me crazy for that! :D So yes, I am very nervous, but VERY Happy for the 3 day weekend! It is a good break! My teacher is so lucky, she gets to go to Santa Cruz for the weekend! I envy her!

Woo Hoo! A MK Update!

Hello everyone!!! I'm 11!!!! Yay!!!!!!!! I had an AWESOME weekend and on Saturday stayed up till 3-ish!!! It was AWESOME!!!!! Though later I was really sleepy. I hate 5th grade. I did not have a very good day at school! People are starting to get hormones, everyone is moody, my class in particular is REALLY bad, and I sit next to one of the most obnoxious people on Earth!

this is sort of a place where I can disperse my anger and happiness! It might not be very interesting...

On the left is a picture of my dog, Jay Jay, and I playing tug-a-war. My room is a mess, because I had sleepover with my friend. The bowtie is her favorite toy, and it's very slobbery. Jay Jay's name used to be short for... Janet Jackson! The Merced Shelter named her that, and we thought that was ridiculous name for a dog, so we shortened it. Jay Jay is part lab, part something else. She acts a bit like a terrier and loves to chase small animals like squirrels and gophers. She is about 3-4 years old. Sweet and gentle she is!

I love watching those videos on Youtube of vet surgery, it is sometimes a bit gruesome. I want to go to UC Davis! They have an awesome campus, great vet school, and I know someone who lives there! My 5th grade teacher used to live there in Davis. Chocolate is one sweet I crave!!
